It’s got support for markdown in the notes for nodes, the ability to import a greater variety of objects, and far more export/sharing options. Also, two finger tap to undo is a nice touch and a feature I’m coming to like thanks to Procreate and the Affinity apps.īut iThoughts seems to be the more capable app. It’s also got newly announced support for second, external USB C monitors which might be nice for some. MindNode is better in the area of visual style with a couple of added features. I spent an hour with each app and came away with the impression that iThoughts is a more powerful app in almost every way.

Yesterday I saw the new version of MindNode was released so I downloaded it for the free 2 week trial. As it happens I’ve got a new project coming up that would probably benefit from actually diving in with this kind of app. To unlock all of the app’s features, the MindNode Plus subscription runs $2.49/month or $19.99/year.I’d previously purchased iThoughts and used it a little but my projects don’t often require that kind of app. MindNode for iPhone and iPad and Mac is a free download from the App Store. This allows users to access their MindNode Plus subscriptions on any device without having to rely on iCloud to sync everything.

The last major change is the new MindNode ID. There’s a unified editable outline design and now you can use Smart Text Shortcuts to more efficiently get ideas on your mind map. Next, Quick Entry has been improved both functionally and visually. Experience the same dynamic behavior on Macs and iPads with Magic Keyboard. Automatically connect to the nearest node when dragging the node well. Precisely create nodes in between pushed-away nodes. The release comes with three major changes along with a number of other fixes and improvements.įirst up, there’s been a refresh for what MindNode calls the Dynamic Node Well. MindNode 2022.2 is available now for both Mac and iOS. The latest release brings improvements to how nodes look, feel, and work, quick entry changes that make it easier to jot down ideas, and more. MindNode is out with a nice update for its mind-mapping software for Mac and iOS today.
